Il y a 3 ans j’ai trouvé sur le net une pellicule que je recherchais : une Kodak EIR 35 mm. J’avais déjà shooté de l’aerochrome en 120 mm avec des résultats parfaits avec mon hasselblad 500c. J’ai fait un peu de stock quand cette pellicule avoisinait les 90€ pièce donc avant une spéculation forte sur ebay où les kodak de ce type sont aujourd’hui à plus de 300€ l’unité. Bref une infrarouge couleur en 35 mm ….je l’ai acheté à un vendeur russe à un prix acceptable.
Cette pellicule a cessé d’être produite au plus tard en 2006-2009.
J’ai attendu 3 ans avant de la shooter, c’est la seule que j’ai. Dans les maritimes canadiennes deux lieux me paraissaient propices, le parc national KEJIMKUJIK traversé à l’ouest par la rivière Mersey, et le parc des hautes terres de cap Breton.
Le Leica IIIf est mon 35 mm que j’utilise le plus, je l’ai équipé de l’elmar 50mm f3,5 et d’un indispensable filtre orange pour cette pellicule. J’ai shooté à 32 iso…les résultats sont moyens, j’aurais du définir un iso inférieur pour rendre le résultat plus lumineux.
3 years ago, I found a film I was looking for on the net: a Kodak EIR 35 mm. I had already shot aerochrome in 120 mm with perfect results with my Hasselblad 500c. I had stocked up a bit when this film was around 90€ each, so before strong speculation on ebay where Kodaks of this type are now over 300€ each. In short, a 35mm color infrared .... I bought it from a Russian seller at an acceptable price.
This film ceased production in 2006-2009 at the latest.
I waited 3 years before shooting it, it's the only one I have. In the Canadian Maritimes, two locations seemed ideal to me: KEJIMKUJIK National Park, crossed on the west by the Mersey River, and Cape Breton Highlands Park.
The Leica IIIf is my 35mm camera that I use the most, and I equipped it with the elmar 50mm f3.5 and an essential orange filter for this film. I shot at 32 iso...the results are average, I should have set a lower iso to make the result brighter.

On voting day this July, we went back to the local school, and I took the opportunity to take a few shots with the Olympus XA1 point & shoot and some expired film. The colors were quite random and the images very grainy.
