Finally got my hands on a roll of APS slide film. It expired in 2004 and apparently was well-stored. I wanted it to look as slide-filmy as possible so instead of cross processing it myself I sent it off to Dwayne's to be properly processed E-6. Was pretty thrilled with their service. I have one more roll of this film that I'm saving for my vacation in Michigan.
